FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which category do I need?

Category 1 for commercial licences, Category 2 for air traffic controllers, Category 3 for private pilots and Category 4 for a student pilot permit.

How far ahead should I book a renewal?

Four to six weeks before your certificate expires. Transport Canada processing commonly takes 40+ business days.

When do I pay?

You pay the exam fee securely on OneMedPass at the moment you book — that payment is what confirms the appointment, so there's no approval wait. The fee is set by your CAME; OneMedPass keeps a 3% booking fee and the examiner's share is transferred to them right away.

Can I cancel? Do I get my money back?

Yes. Cancel up to 24 hours before your appointment — by you or by the clinic — and you're refunded in full, automatically, to the card you paid with. Inside 24 hours, get in touch and we'll sort it out with your CAME.

What if my CAME can't take the appointment?

You're refunded in full, automatically. If an examiner cancels your booking, we refund the card you paid with and send you an in-app notification straight away.

Do I get a receipt?

Yes. Every paid booking has a receipt in your portal that you can view or print anytime — handy if your CAME or employer needs proof of payment.

Can I reschedule?

Yes, from your portal. Please give the clinic as much notice as you can so the slot can be released for another pilot.

How do flying clubs use OneMedPass?

A club registers, we approve the account, and the club can then add students and book medicals for them or invite students to book themselves.

I'm a CAME — how do I join?

Get in touch through the contact page. We create your login, you set your hours, and you're bookable the same day.
